State of the Chamber Luncheon

January/February

The Chamber’s first signature event of the calendar year welcomes a crowd of over 350 to a lunchtime celebration of the year’s achievements, including a presentation of the Chamber’s vision for the future. The program includes welcoming the installation of new leadership, honoring community leaders, celebrating past leadership, and announcing Impact Awards winners, honoring organizations and individuals whose leadership made a positive impact in the Tampa Bay region.

Member Orientation

Quarterly

Member Orientation is the first step to getting the most out of a Chamber membership. It includes an overview of the Chamber’s mission followed by overviews of the following areas: events and programs, marketing and communication opportunities, public policy, and taking advantage of member benefits to name a few. This event is held 4 times per year.

Quarterly

Chamber members have some fun at this relaxed evening networking event held at a member’s place of business. This event is held four times per year and is hosted by member organizations that provide interactive experiences and entertainment. Examples of event hosts include: The Aquarium, Busch Gardens, Topgolf, Museum, and The Zoo Tampa & more.

Coffee Connection

Bi-Monthly

This event offers a morning opportunity to connect with likeminded individuals in a small intimate setting. We bring the coffee; you bring the conversations. 'N Learns Series (Breakfast or Lunch)

The breakfast series is the premier educational program of the Tampa Bay Chamber. Business and professional development classes offer attendees new skill sets and a practical application for implementation in their own business. A unique class takes place six times each year.

Roundtables

Quarterly

Roundtables are set up as industry or job position-specific groups. Criteria for involvement will be determined by the industry/position leaders and have strict rules of who can attend. These are meant to be a place where a group of members in like-situations can talk about issues, invite speakers of interest for either education or collaboration. The host sponsor provides the venue at no cost and offers attendees complimentary soft beverages.

Active roundtables include: the LGBTQ Non-Profit Roundtable, Supplier Diversity Roundtable, Hospitality & Tourism Roundtable, Certified LGBTQ Business Enterprise Roundtable, & Employee Resource Group Roundtable.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

DEI Cohort 2023-2024

The DEI Cohort is a program of the Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber Foundation designed to aide diverse and minority small businesses to prepare for growth. The DEI Cohort helps these businesses identify and overcome barriers, which often include limited access to capital, key decision makers, and information. By providing practical tools, program participants are positioned to increase capacity, create jobs, and build a more inclusive economically successful Tampa Bay. This event is in partnership with the SBDC.

Minority Business Opportunity Sponsorships

Sponsor a minority-owned or operated small business to experience the cutting-edge membership benefits of the Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber for one year. The sponsorship includes access for the businesses to the Tampa Bay DEI Cohort program.

Chamber membership entails networking with businesses from the Tampa Bay’s seven county region and will expand the business’s professional relationships. Membership includes access to events, webinars and programming designed to improve business resiliency by focusing on, leadership training, financial services, DEI, talent recruitment and retention tools.

Each sponsored business will one year of business level (tier two) membership and will be sponsored to participate in the DEI Cohort Program.

Critical Conversation Breakfast

This special event is designed to enable champions of diversity, equity, and inclusion to engage and openly share in meaningful  conversation on various topics that impact our business community. Critical Conversations is an opportunity to learn, share experience and best practices, and discuss new ideas and opportunities. We believe ongoing conversations to collectively address issues of social injustice, racism, and bias demonstrate a spirit of collaboration and commitment to take action to achieve regional diversity, equity, and inclusion goals.

Policy & Advocacy

Tampa Bay Mayor's Breakfast

The Mayor’s Annual Address to the Chamber takes place at this event. The program includes the popular segment where the mayor is placed on the proverbial hot seat as the moderator asks the tough questions on behalf of the business community. Chamber members join us to hear the mayor’s responses and learn what we as a Chamber can do to help move Tampa Bay forward.

Hob Nob

Every election year, the Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber presents its Political Hob Nob. This event allows the LGBTQ+ & allied community to meet the candidates looking to represent Tampa Bay at the local, state, and federal levels. Participants will meet the candidates to share their priorities and will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites during the Hob Nob straw poll. Results will be announced that evening.

Public Policy Roundtable

The Chamber welcomes Tampa Bay’s elected officials and policy experts to our Annual Public Policy Roundtable designed to give our members a better understanding of key issues and legislation that could affect the Tampa Bay Region. This unique event also helps our elected officials understand what key issues the LGBTQ+ and minority community are facing.
